It’s not hard to predict the Dallas Cowboys focus in the upcoming draft

A three-game winning streak suddenly has the Dallas Cowboys in good shape heading into Week 17. Despite a record of just 6-9, they could win the NFC East with a victory over the New York Giants coupled with a Washington Football Team loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.

While they have found some success, there’s still a lot left to be desired with this team — mainly on the defensive side of the ball.

In recent weeks, they have started to create more turnovers but there are still far too many holes, which means this upcoming 2021 NFL Draft will likely focus heavily on the defensive side of the ball. Here we look ahead to that draft and predict what the Cowboys front office is going to do when they’re on the clock.

850. Pick Analysis. Jaycee Horn. South Carolina. 1. player. Scouting Report. CB

Trevon Diggs has started to become everything the Cowboys hoped he would be. The second-round pick out of Alabama was thrown to the wolves early and while he struggled out of the gate, he really started to come on strong before a foot injury in Week 9 sidelined him for four games.

Diggs is back now and recorded his third interception of the season in their Week 16 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. While his progress has been fantastic for the future of this team, they need more talent at the position — and they find that here in Jaycee Horn.

The son of former NFL receiver Joe Horn, Jaycee is ideally built for playing on the outside at 6-1 and 205 pounds. He’s physical and confident and has no problem pressing wideouts at the line of scrimmage.

Dallas needs a lot of work in their secondary and while safety might be their biggest concern, Horn is a great value pick here and will be a day one starter.
