FanDuel NFL Week 17 Picks and Advice: Wide Receiver

Davante Adams ($9,300) sits alone as the top wide receiver on the slate this week. He will likely continue his historic production with the Packers playing for the number one seed. A.J Brown ($8,400) also has plenty of tournament appeal against a terrible Houston secondary that he torched for two touchdowns in their first meeting.

Mike Evans ($8,100) is coming off a massive game and gets a favorable matchup against an Atlanta defense he went for 110 yards against two weeks ago. Finally, both Justin Jefferson ($8,000) and Adam Thielen ($7,900) are extremely strong plays, even in cash, as with Dalvin Cook out Minnesota will be forced to throw more than usual, something that should yield plenty of yards against an awful Detroit secondary.

If you want to save up, I like Mike Williams ($5,900) against a backup Kansas City secondary with Keenan Allen out. I also like Jarvis Landry ($6,700) and Rishard Higgins ($5,600) for a similar reason against a Steelers defense likely resting their starters.

If you are looking for some super deep plays, Chad Hansen ($5,200) and Richie James ($4,600) are two players who are likely to see targets that can pay off their salary, though lack the upside to give you a huge game.

As for receivers I am avoiding, Stefon Diggs ($8,500) has had an amazing year, but there is simply too much risk associated with playing him due to the threat of Buffalo resting their starters. He will likely come in rostered at sub 5 percent, so you could throw him in a tournament lineup, though the possibility of a goose egg exists.

I am also off of the Pittsburgh receivers, as even though they have a plus matchup against Cleveland, I do not want to guess which receiver it is that has a good game with Mason Rudolph under center, if any.

Finally, Marvin Jones ($6100) may be tempting at his low price as the WR1 on the Lions, but unless Stafford is fully healthy, he just will not be able to produce with backup quarterbacks throwing him the ball.
