Scouting Report. Georgia. Tyson Campbell. player. Pick Analysis. CB. 29. 15

With their first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints shocked many by taking Michigan center Cesar Ruiz. It wasn’t as if he was a bad pick since Ruiz was the consensus best center in the draft, but it wasn’t as if the Saints were hurting on the O-line. It seemed more likely they would bolster their secondary or receiving corps, but elected to go with the best player available approach.

They ended up doing just fine the entire draft, landing a lot of high-value picks. They continue that trend here by adding Georgia cornerback Tyson Campbell, although this time it feels like a better need pick as well. Marshon Lattimore is an elite corner but they could use another stud opposite him, and that’s what they land here.

Pick Analysis. Penn State. 30. player. Scouting Report. TE. Pat Freiermuth. 16

The longest divisional championship reign ended this season when the Buffalo Bills won the AFC East, which meant the New England Patriots would not be champs in that division for the first time since 2008 — which was when the Miami Dolphins won it with a record of 11-5. Outside of that season, New England won the East every year from 2003 until 2019.

While we can say the loss of Tom Brady in New England is to blame, the fact is the Bills were ready to take over. This team is loaded and the addition of Stefon Diggs only made them more dangerous. Seeing how much better Josh Allen is with elite weapons leads to the selection of Penn State tight end Pat Freiermuth.

In 29 games, Freiermuth has 92 receptions for 1,185 yards with 16 touchdowns. He’s an improvement over Dawson Knox and could propel the Bills even farther than they have already gone.
