AFC Championship: Buffalo Bills (2) at Kansas City Chiefs (1)

Say what?! The Chiefs losing to the Bills? Seems ridiculous, right? While that may be the case, there’s plenty to be worried about when it comes to this Buffalo team. They’ve got a plethora of talent on the offensive end, and own one of the best defenses in the business.

Is that enough to take down Mahomes and the Chiefs? As my prediction would suggest, I believe so. Not only is the combination of Allen and Diggs more than enough to keep pace in the scoring department, but the Buffalo defense can find ways to wrangle Mahomes and avoid getting steamrolled.

In this one, the Bills come up with a scheme to keep Mahomes uncomfortable. They pressure him all game long, forcing him into a couple of costly turnovers that allow Allen and Co. the opportunity to pull ahead. While the Chiefs seem to get better when playing from behind, they dig too deep of a hole this time around.

I wouldn’t have expected it back in September, but the Bills make it all the way to the Super Bowl as AFC champs. Allen confirms his status as one of the NFL’s top up-and-coming quarterbacks, and Mahomes is forced to watch his fellow young gunslinger move on while he heads for an early vacation.

Prediction: Bills win 36-31
