Deshaun Watson trade landing spot No. 4: Indianapolis Colts

I’d like to put the Colts much higher on this list, but it seems very unlikely that the Texans are going to trade their franchise quarterback to a divisional rival. I’ll still include Indianapolis, however, as they’d be a wonderful fit for Watson’s services and are one of the more complete teams in the league at every position but quarterback.

The Colts have a great offensive line (something Watson isn’t used to), talent on offense, and an incredible defense. They honestly are set-up to succeed in every department other than the quarterback position and that’s why Watson would make them an instant Super Bowl contender.

If the Texans and Colts weren’t both in the AFC South, I’d probably put the Colts at No. 1, but as I mentioned earlier, it seems unlikely that Houston would trade him to a division rival, nor should they. Having to face a guy you drafted to be your franchise quarterback twice a year would be major salt in the wounds, but it does sound like something the Texans would do.

Still, everyone will definitely mention the Colts as an option because it’d be a good fit for both sides. It’s too bad this probably won’t happen.
