If it’s a notable wide receiver who could be traded, you better believe the Green Bay Packers are going to be mentioned in the conversation. And they should be.

For as dominant as the Aaron Rodgers-Davante Adams connection was in the 2020 season, the simple fact remains that there is not another consistently productive and reliable wide receiver on the Packers roster. There were cries last offseason for the front office to get more help in that department and those went unanswered.

However, it’s clear that Rodgers is still more than capable of playing at a top-tier level — after all, he’s likely going to win his third NFL MVP award this season. But for Rodgers and the Packers to get to the point where they are going to win more Super Bowls, they need to construct a complete offense around their superstar quarterback. And adding Julio Jones would do exactly that.

Even putting aside how awesome the mere thought of a Rodgers-Adams-Jones trio would be to watch, the Packers should be invested in maximizing the great years their quarterback has left. Adding Jones would be an obvious move to accomplish that, one that could ultimately help Titletown live up to its name once again.
