FanDuel NFL Wild Card Round Picks and Advice: Wide Receiver

Wide receiver is an extremely interesting position this week, as there are question marks around almost every top option. If you are playing in tournaments, you want to largely base your receivers around the quarterback you are playing and the game you are stacking.

For example, if your quarterback is Lamar Jackson, it makes sense to play Marquise Brown ($6,300) and bring it back with either A.J. Brown ($8,400) or Corey Davis ($6,400).

Taking this into account, my favorite one-off receiver plays are Diontae Johnson ($7,000), who is way underpriced considering the number of targets he gets with Roethlisberger under center, Robert Woods ($6,700) who has been as consistent as they come with Goff under center, and John Brown ($5,700) who has been fantastic in games this year where he is healthy. If either Beasley or Diggs sits, Brown becomes possibly my favorite play on the slate.

If you spent up at other positions and are looking for some cash saving options at wide receiver you are in luck, as there are plenty of solid cheap options that could have big games in the Wild Card round. Darnell Mooney ($5,400) has flashed his big-play ability all year and is coming off a game where he saw 13 targets.

With the Bears likely playing from behind, Mooney could be in for a similar workload. Cam Sims ($4,900) has also seen his target share increase in recent weeks and could break a big one against a Tampa Bay defense that has been weak against the pass but stout against the run.
