Saturday Wild Card DraftKings NFL picks: Wide Receivers

As mentioned, the Colts defense overall has been stingy this season. However, they aren’t bulletproof through the air, specifically when it comes to deep passing. That makes Stefon Diggs ($7,700), the highest-price wide receiver for the Saturday Wild Card DraftKings slate, a play for me. He’s a true No. 1 without question and his ability to be a deep threat gives him the chance to pay off quickly.

Chris Godwin ($7,000) is the next-highest-priced at the position and he’s a good play as well. With Mike Evans ($6,500) potentially out this week, Godwin could be the de facto No. 1 wideout against a defense that does lack some secondary talent. Also with Evans out, Antonio Brown ($6,100) becomes a lot more intriguing.

We know how good Tyler Lockett ($6,900) and D.K. Metcalf ($6,700) but they combined for just 18 catches and roughly 200 yards in two games against the Rams this season. At their price, it’s hard to justify having them in your lineup, especially with the unpredictability of which player could go off if one even does.

The injury status and Washington quarterback situation makes me wary of Terry McLaurin ($6,300) but, if news comes out about his status being positive before the late kickoff, he could be intriguing.

While I’ll fade Robert Woods ($6,200), Cooper Kupp ($6,000) has been activated off the COVID/Reserve list. With his ability as an underneath route-runner, he does catch your eye in a good matchup against the Seahawks.

Cole Beasley’s health makes me question him at $5,300 but that makes John Brown ($4,700) a potentially nice value play if Beasley can’t go. Other possible values include both Cam Sims ($3,900) with McLaurin banged up and Zach Pascal ($3,700), who could be a big home-run swing for your lineup.
