DraftKings NFL picks for the Sunday Wild Card slate to build a winning DFS lineup.

For the start of the 2021 NFL Playoffs and the Super Wild Card Weekend, the majority of the featured DraftKings NFL DFS contests were divided into two slates. So now that we enter the back half, it’s time for daily fantasy football players to start constructing their winning DraftKings NFL lineups for the Sunday Wild Card slate.

The Sunday matchups in the Wild Card Round for DraftKings players to make their picks from include the Ravens at Titans, Bears at Saints, and Browns at Steelers. All have some intriguing value to be mined but, with such a limited slate, you have to be sure to be diligent in constructing your NFL DFS slineup.

With that in mind, we’re going position-by-position through the DraftKings NFL Sunday Wild Card slate and highlighting the possibilities before constructing a GPP tournament lineup that we would play for these contests.

Sunday Wild Card DraftKings NFL picks: Quarterbacks

With the way he came on at the end of the regular season, how could you not like Lamar Jackson ($7,800) in this spot. He was over 25 DraftKings points in four of his final five games of the regular season and is in a matchup against a Titans defense that could be susceptible. The only concern is that Tennessee stonewalled them in last year’s playoff matchup.

On the opposite sideline for that game is Ryan Tannehill ($6,600) and I like that play a ton. He doesn’t necessarily have the floor of Jackson but he has the same upside as he’s hit 28 or more points in three of his last five games. For reference, he had 22.9 against Baltimore in the regular season while Jackson had just 17.5 in that game.

Some people are likely to jump on Ben Roethlisberger ($6,100) considering that Mason Rudolph had moderate success against the Browns last week and Cleveland is short-handed in the secondary. But given that he’s been below 16 points in three of his last five games he’s played, I’d be worried about him cratering again.

Frankly, my advice would be to play either Jackson or Tannehill because Drew Brees ($5,700), Baker Mayfield ($5,400) and Mitchell Trubisky ($5,300) all draw tough matchups and have all dealt with bouts of inconsistency. If you include one of them in your lineup, hats off to your convictions but it will be a contrarian play in a major way.
