4. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR

There’s no doubt the Packers are a better offense when Marquez Valdes-Scantling is playing at his best. The only problem is that Valdes-Scantling is one of the most inconsistent players in the entire NFL. On one play, MVS is hauling in a 70-yard pass for a touchdown. On the next, he’s dropping an easy catch and run.

The roller coaster ride that Valdes-Scantling provides is just part of the journey of having him on the team, though. He has moments of brilliance and moments of disappointment. But the fact of the matter is, when he’s on fire, the Packers offense is nearly unstoppable.

Green Bay will need Valdes-Scantling to be at his best on Saturday against the No. 1 scoring defense in the NFL. The Rams allow an average of just 18.6 points per game, including 15.6 points per game over their last three.

MVS finished second on the Packers in receiving yards (690) and led the entire NFL in yards per catch (20.9). He’s a big play waiting to happen, but he needs to string together more consistency. If he can, defenses will begin respecting his speed even more.
