Many people would likely prioritize an edge rusher in the first round but, with Collins on the board, I couldn’t pass that up. And if that means that the Browns end up with Quincy Roche at the end of the second round, they could undoubtedly do a lot worse.

Roche was a star at Temple before transferring to Miami this past season and the jump in the level of competition did not prove to be too much for him. He’s not an ultra-explosive player by any stretch but he’s a versatile and experienced asset who’s effective against the pass and run. Roche would pair nicely with Garrett to provide young defensive end depth.

The secondary isn’t in as bad of shape as it often looked throughout the 2020 season thanks to injuries and COVID-19 as Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams should provide a solid outside duo. However, especially if the Browns don’t bring back a number of veterans, the depth is an issue that Elijah Molden can help remedy.

At Washington, the undersized Molden proved to be a dynamic defender in the slot. Though he’s not twitched-up and super fast, his footwork is sublime and he has a natural feel for the position. Adding him in as a sub-package and nickel player could help boost the Cleveland secondary.

Even with Odell Beckham Jr. likely returning to the fold next year, the Browns could use some real depth at wide receiver as Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins were the only consistent options left at wide receiver by the end of the year.

Though OBJ fills the role somewhat, the Browns need to look for a dynamic vertical threat and that’s what D’Wayne Eskridge proved to be while at Western Michigan. He’ll have to prove himself against top competition but his speed and downfield playmaking seem ready to translate.
