Super Bowl LV: Buffalo Bills (2) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5)

There it is — the Bills and Buccaneers are your representatives for the AFC and NFC in Super Bowl 55, at least according to my predictions. If that ends up being the case, it’ll be quite the intriguing matchup between two newcomers to the contender pool.

Boy, could this one go either way. On one hand, we could see an offensive onslaught between two teams that haven’t struggled to find the end zone in 2020. At the same time, both are excellent on the defensive end, which could result in a low-scoring showdown. Either way, it’s a battle between the old (Brady) and the new (Allen) in terms of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks.

Regardless of the direction it goes in, there are a few solid takeaways. No more New England Patriots domination of the AFC, even if Brady is still involved. It would also be quite the development for the Bills to win it all, especially considering their history of Super Bowl woes.

For now, I’m not going to get into any predictions since this was meant to focus on the Conference Championships. However, I wanted to take a quick look at the teams I’m predicting will wage war for the Lombardi Trophy.

Enjoy the AFC and NFC Conference Championship games. If my predictions come true, we’ll be seeing the Bills and Buccaneers meeting for the right to be dubbed Super Bowl victors on Feb. 7.
