Aaron Rodgers only has one Super Bowl ring in his illustrious career but he and the Green Bay Packers are speeding straight towards another title this year.

If you’re looking for a reason as to why the Green Bay Packers are going to win Super Bowl LV, the most obvious place to point is quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The future Hall-of-Famer submitted a campaign that will likely capture the third NFL MVP of his illustrious career. And in the team’s postseason debut, a Divisional Round win over the Rams, that didn’t stop.

Seemingly without needing to kick it into an extra gear, Rodgers was a surgeon as he picked apart the league’s top-ranked defense, throwing for 296 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for a score as well. He’s been near impossible to stop this season and, if the Packers are indeed going to live up to the Titletown name this season, he’s at the forefront of the conversation.

Having said that, Rodgers isn’t the only reason that Green Bay should be the favorite to win the title and get the quarterback his second ring. So, as the team readies for the NFC Championship Game against the Bucs, let’s dive into five reasons outside of Aaron Rodgers as for why the Packers are going to be Super Bowl champions when the first weekend of February concludes.

5. Support from run game makes Green Bay Packers offense complete

Likely because Rodgers has been so lethal in the passing attack, it feels as if the Packers run game has been overlooked at times this season. Yet, that aspect of the offense has been present all season and has helped to set everything up for the offense.

In the win over Los Angeles, Green Bay consistently moved the ball on the ground. Aaron Jones finished the game with 14 carries for 99 yards and a touchdown, leading the way. But Jamaal Williams also stepped up late, coming in to essentially ice the win for the Pack and getting 65 yards on 12 carries. And if that’s not enough, rookie AJ Dillon erupted for over 120 yards when carrying the load in Week 16.

Being able to effectively move the ball on the ground is not only critical for Green Bay in simply giving them another aspect for the defense to worry about but it also sets up the pass. Rodgers has been an assassin when operating out of play-action and having the threat of that trio of running backs sets that up.

Jones, Williams and Dillon are one of the most underrated running back groups in the league. But that shouldn’t diminish both their effectiveness and importance for the Green Bay offense. As they keep moving the chains, they’re a driving force behind the team’s success.
