2. No one is stopping Davante

Yes, the secondary weapons on offense are going to play a big role in the Packers’ success. As mentioned, though, it’s the star players who are going to need to make the biggest plays. Davante Adams certainly qualifies in that regard for the Packers and, frankly, it doesn’t look like there’s anyone that’s going to be slowing him down at this point.

Adams’ regular-season output was simply absurd. Despite missing two games due to injury, the Packers star wide receiver caught 115 of his 149 targets for 1,374 yards and an incredible 18 touchdowns on the year. And even though he was matched up with Jalen Ramsey for much of the game against the Rams (though not exclusively), he continued to be dangerous.

On the day, Adams led the team with nine receptions (on 10 targets) and was second on the team in yards with 66. Oh yeah, he also diced up the Los Angeles defense with pre-snap motion for a gorgeous early touchdown that helped to build momentum for Green Bay. It may not have been an eye-popping box score game but the star was consistently making key catches with ease.

With the way that Adams is operating on the outside right now and, frankly, looking at the three other teams remaining in the NFL Playoffs, there isn’t anyone that can contain him. He’s going to make plays and going to put up big numbers. Not only is he Rodgers’ obvious go-to guy but he’s proven to be in the best spot to best rise to the occasion in that role.
