Despite what he has accomplished this season, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has been disrespected heavily this season and it needs to stop.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was a heavily disrespected player this season. Not by his peers in the league or even rational fans but, rather, by his critics who have continuously slighted him this season and even before.

Beyond his six rings in New England, he has the Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game in his first season with the team with several offseason obstacles such as COVID-19 and virtual workouts. In essence, he should be commended for braving all of that while dramatically turning the fortunes in Tampa.

However, he has his detractors and, following the upset victory over the Saints, several of them were not happy. Notably, FS1’s Rob Parker, who consistently has regarded the future Hall of Famer as the “luckiest of all time,” came out to downplay Brady.

Accordingly, FS1’s Nick Wright, who has been a vocal critic against Brady throughout his career, did the same. Can we also forget Max Kellerman and the “cliff” or Shannon Sharpe stating that he would never mention anyone else but Brady as the GOAT only to flip the narrative again this year? It’s a broken record with some people.

With Tampa Bay now being the underdog against Green Bay, a team that many would love to see get to the Super Bowl at the expense of the Buccaneers, the motivation for Brady and his team is clear. He has a chance to silence critics once again.

Tom Brady is the best quarterback of all time, and people should just accept that fact.

Not everyone loves Tom Brady; there’s no rule against that. But when the disrespect reaches a certain point, it often leaves us wondering just what goes on in the minds of those who resent a man for his greatness. His teammates speak highly of him, as do his peers in the league.

There is no doubt they want to beat him on game day but they understand how good of a player he and what he’s accomplished. The latter is especially true given where he was drafted. He’s raised the bar individually throughout his career and has done the same with the Bucs this year.

Tampa Bay was 7-9 last season and, a year later, they are in the NFC Championship Game with an opportunity to both host and play in the Super Bowl. Being an underdog likely only fuels the fire for Brady as he stares down another challenge.
