The Green Bay Packers enter their second straight NFC Championship Game but, this time, hope to get past the Buccaneers and into the Super Bowl.

When the Green Bay Packers made it to the NFC Championship Game a year ago, they seemed doomed from the start. They were up against a 49ers team that was a bad matchup and that had dismantled them in the regular season. So if the fans heading to Lambeau Field on Sunday have a bad feeling as the Packers prepare to face the Buccaneers, it’s hard not to understand.

Back in Week 6, Tampa Bay had their way with Green Bay, albeit in Raymond James Stadium, with a dominant 38-10 victory. Aaron Rodgers threw two interceptions and Green Bay allowed 38 unanswered points in a truly humiliating affair. However, there is reason to believe that things could be different on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game.

The Packers have looked the part of the NFL’s best offense over the past couple of months, including racking up a 32-18 win over the No. 1-ranked Rams defense last week. Moreover, Rodgers will be hosting the NFC Championship Game at Lambeau, shockingly, for the first time in his career.

A trip to Super Bowl LV is on the line for the Green Bay Packers and we have five bold predictions for what could be a monumental game against the Buccaneers.

5. Aaron Jones tops 120 yards for Green Bay Packers offense

Aaron Jones was actually the only player who found the end zone for Green Bay in the Week 6 meeting between these two teams. A one-yard run in the first quarter put the Packers up 10-0 in the game but, of course, things only got worse from there for both the running back and the team as a whole.

Jones led the team in carries in that game with 10 but he managed only a meager 15 yards on the day. And as Rodgers struggled, he had only three catches for 25 yards as well. All told, it’s hard to think that the Green Bay attack looked as bad as they did in the first matchup with the Bucs given how dominant they’ve looked over the second half of the season.

While the Buccaneers run defense has been quite good this season and will get Vita Vea back for the NFC Championship Game, Matt LaFleur has been working at an extremely high level and Jones, playing at 100 percent health, has found his stride. So while he may not be a traditional runner up the middle, expect the head coach to get his lead back the ball in space to make plays.

Between a nice workload in the outside running game and with some creative passing game work, Jones will have a big day at the office with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. When it’s all said and done, the UTEP product will end up with 120 or more total yards on his ledger.
