Green Bay Packers: 5 Bold predictions vs. Buccaneers in NFC Championship
1. Green Bay Packers win by 14+ points, advance to Super Bowl 55
Perhaps this is setting myself and Green Bay Packers fans up for disappointment after what happened in the NFC Championship Game last year but this year’s matchup against the Buccaneers won’t be a repeat performance. Instead, it’ll be a dominant effort that puts a cherry on top of this season for Rodgers and company.
Yes, the Bucs won by 28 points in the regular-season clash between the two teams but, the more you look at that game, the more it looks like an anomaly. Rodgers throwing interceptions, the defense not making plays in the passing game, Adams not being fully healthy, and even Rodgers not handling blitzes well are all outliers from what we normally see from Green Bay.
LaFleur has the Packers clicking on offense in every sense and the defense has followed suit as well. There is every reason to believe that, with the talent Green Bay has on offense, they’ll be able to actually attack the Tampa Bay defense and replicate the success they’ve had in virtually every other game outside of Week 6 this year.
Even though it’s Brady on the other side, the Packers will make enough plays to put the pressure on the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback and too much so. When it’s all said and done, Green Bay will be the ones playing in Raymond James Stadium in two weeks as they submit a dominant two-touchdown win at minimum.
