The 2021 NFL Playoffs are nearing the end. What matchups would be the most intriguing for Super Bowl 55 with only four teams remaining?

It all comes down to conference championship weekend in the 2021 NFL Playoffs. First up will be the Green Bay Packers hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and, afterward, we’ll have the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Buffalo Bills.

All four of these teams have had incredible seasons but which matchups would truly make Super Bowl LV even more of a can’t-miss game?

Let’s rank these potential matchups from worst to first, starting with a matchup that wouldn’t have much history attached to it.

Super Bowl 55 Matchup No. 4: Green Bay Packers vs. Buffalo Bills

It’s weird ranking this as the least desirable matchup because it’d pit Aaron Rodgers against Josh Allen but that’s how good these games could be if they’re on the biggest stage in sports. The quarterbacks would be the main storyline heading into this game but that’s going to be the biggest storyline with all four potential matchups, so that doesn’t move this one up based on those standards.

There isn’t much history between the Packers and Bills. So, aside from Rodgers vs. Allen, the most exciting angle would be if Rodgers can win his second Super Bowl or if the Bills win their first Super Bowl ever. The fanbases would also be a major storyline, as the Packers have arguably the best fanbase in football while Bills fans willingly crash into tables for their team.

We’d have two of the best receivers in the game going head-to-head, as Davante Adams and Stefon Diggs would be taking center stage in Tampa Bay. The defenses would also be fun to watch and see if they could slow the opposing offense down enough to win it all.

If this is considered the worst possible matchup, Super Bowl LV is going to be a good one.
