58. Pick Analysis. Alabama. Mac Jones. 19. player. Scouting Report. QB

It didn’t take long at all for the Washington Football Team to admit it wasn’t working with Dwayne Haskins, and as hard as that is, they did the right thing moving on quickly. Now, they can re-shift their focus and find their starter of the future.

There will be calls for Taylor Heinicke to get the job full-time after his gutsy performance in the playoffs for Washington but they can’t simply hand him the job. They can, however, allow him to compete to start this season with a rookie, which is what they do by selecting Mac Jones from Alabama.

Jones stepped out of Tua Tagovailoa’s shadow this season and threw for 4,500 yards with 41 touchdowns and just four picks. He’s smart and safe with the ball, which is exactly what Ron Rivera wants in his signal-caller.

player. Terrace Marshall, Jr.. 20. WR. LSU. 57. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Pick No. 20 is a bit of a rough spot for the Chicago Bears to be since they would surely like to get a new quarterback in the building. While Mitch Trubisky did start to play better down the stretch — and even won the first-ever Nickelodeon playoff-game MVP Award thanks to fans and their wonderful voting — he’s not consistent enough to be the starter. Having said that, he might need to be once again in 2021 absent a move in free agency since they use their No. 1 pick in this mock on Terrace Marshall, Jr.

The LSU wideout also fills a potential need as Allen Robinson is set to hit the open market and the two sides apparently haven’t been super close on a new deal. Unless something changes there, Marshall could end up coming in to replace Robinson, which is no easy task.
