OT. Oregon. player. Scouting Report. Penei Sewell. 3. 59. Pick Analysis

(Pick via Houston Texans): The Miami Dolphins believe they have their quarterback of the future in Tua Tagovailoa. However, there are already some grumblings after he wasn’t setting the NFL on fire as a rookie.

However, if we are being fair to him, Tua looked like many rookie quarterbacks do. The problem is, he was being compared to Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert who absolutely went off this year.

With all that being said, the Dolphins should still have high hopes for Tua and their pick here (which is courtesy of the Texans) they get someone to block for him in Penei Sewell. The consensus No. 1 offensive lineman, Sewell will give Tua the time he needs to get through his reads, helping him take the next step.

44. Scouting Report. QB. Trey Lance. 4. player. Pick Analysis. North Dakota State

This is the third team in the first four picks that will be turning things over to a new head coach as the Atlanta Falcons brought in former Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, who will be replacing Dan Quinn. With a new coach — and general manager — there’s a good chance that Atlanta is going to be turning the page on many of their star players who are on the wrong side of 30. That would include quarterback Matt Ryan, who is going to be 36 before the season begins.

With him nearing the end of his career, Smith could very well look to start fresh which is why Trey Lance from North Dakota State lands with them here. Lance might not have a ton of experience but he checks off all the boxes and should be the face of the team for the next decade or longer.
