2021 NFL Mock Draft: Dolphins take Sewell and Waddle, Bills keep building with Jaelan Phillips
By Randy Gurzi
There was a time when all the best linebackers came out of Penn State and maybe Micah Parsons can re-start that trend. He opted out of the 2020 season due to concerns over the pandemic, but like many of the other big-name stars who did so, his star hasn’t lost any shine whatsoever as we prepare for the draft.
Parsons is a player who can do anything for the defense and has a history as a pass rusher as well. He’s great at timing the blitz which makes him someone to watch on key passing situations. For the Los Angeles Chargers, he could be the missing piece to a defense that has several good players but needs to find a playmaker in the middle of the field.
With the 14th pick in this draft, the Minnesota Vikings can look to either shore up the offensive line or the defensive line. They have a need at defensive end, defensive tackle, and guard. With that being the case, they’ll likely go with whoever they feel is the best player on the board at one of these three spots and in this mock, that lands them Ohio State’s Wyatt Davis.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound Davis should be a plug-and-play starter for the Vikings and will help them improve an already impressive ground game.
