On The Right Trajectory To Hall Of Fame – Matthew Stafford
Chances are high for quarterback Matthew Stafford to call a new place home next season. The Detroit Lions might be willing to try and trade Stafford this offseason in hopes of restarting their quarterback situation. A new home is exactly what Stafford needs to continue being on the right trajectory for his place in the Hall of Fame.
With over 45,000 passing yards, a 62.6 overall completion percentage, and 282 touchdowns, Stafford easily has a few playing years left in him. One can imagine if it can happen, the Indianapolis Colts would be a perfect situation for him to continue his legacy. If quarterback Philip Rivers decides to retire this offseason, it would open up the gates nicely for Stafford to step right in and take care of business.
Stafford has made the NFL Playoffs only three times in his 12-year career and considering that the Colts are right there to continue pushing the envelope in the postseason, this would be a no-brainer decision. If everything falls into place, here’s to hoping such a move happens because it would be great to see Stafford end his career on a high note.
