J.J. Watt trade landing spot No. 1: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After making it to the Super Bowl in just one season with Tom Brady as their quarterback, if he returns in 2021, the Buccaneers will go all-in on making it back to the Super Bowl. That could include adding more playmakers to an already stacked defensive front.

The Bucs will lose some big names on defense including Ndamukong Suh, Lavonte David, and Shaquil Barrett, which means they’ll definitely be looking to add some key players over the offseason. Watt would give them a veteran presence along their defensive front and he’d have a chance to play with Brady, which means he’d have a chance to make the Super Bowl.

Going to Tampa might end up being the same thing we used to see with free agents going to New England and that’s players ring chasing near the end of their careers. Perhaps Brady continuing to beat Father Time is enough for Watt to want to land with the Buccaneers.

He’d certainly be welcomed in Tampa Bay.
