player. 52. . OT. Jacksonville Jaguars. Jalen Mayfield. 25

(Pick via Rams) – If the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to build something special under Trevor Lawrence and with head coach Urban Meyer now in the fold, they have to make sure that the offensive line is in order. Thus, they need to continue working to fill the holes, one of which is at tackle opposite of Cam Robinson. That’s where Jalen Mayfield would help the cause.

The Michigan standout has shown the ability to be a high-end tackle at any level, especially if he can continue to improve. The only knock on him at this point is the overall lack of experience with just 15 starts for the Wolverines. If he’s able to keep on his current trajectory of improving and refinement, though, Mayfield has the potential to be a long-term option on the Jags line.

53. . EDGE. Cleveland Browns. Jaelan Phillips. 26. player

The Cleveland Browns finally realized their potential as a team with the improvement of the offensive line and the arrival of head coach Kevin Stefanski. Baker Mayfield returned to form as the season went on and the team made the playoffs, winning a game as well. But now comes the part where they look to take the next step forward, and that begins with improving the defense.

Especially with Olivier Vernon potentially leaving, the Browns need edge depth to pair with Myles Garrett and Jaelan Phillips is a fantastic option for them. The former 5-star recruit took a circuitous route to Miami but finally thrived in the 2020 season. A physical freak who can thrive against the pass and run, Phillips needs more reps but has the tools and versatility to be an answer to Cleveland’s prayers.
