Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Travis Etienne. 31. player. 48. . RB

Of all the selections in this 2021 NFL mock draft, figuring out what to do with the Buccaneers was the most difficult part. The defensive line was a consideration for me and there are some potential needs for wide receiver depth or offensive line depth. But considering they’re in the Super Bowl this year, it felt as if they were in a position to make a luxury pick like Travis Etienne.

While at Clemson, Etienne became the ACC’s all-time leading rusher and it’s obvious why. With elite speed that can change games, he has the potential to break off the big one at any moment. Throw in his versatility as a great pass-catcher out of the backfield, it’s clear that he could be an upgrade over Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones in a massive way that would help Tom Brady in year two with Tampa Bay.

OT. Kansas City Chiefs. Dillon Radunz. 32. player. 124.

If there’s one major concern about the Chiefs entering the Super Bowl, it’s the offensive line. They’ve been making it work up front all season but, with Eric Fisher getting injured in the AFC Championship Game, the lack of depth is being severely tested. Subsequently, to keep this offense as the league’s best, that’s something that they must fix.

One of the biggest questions about Dillon Radunz was how he’d perform with a step up in competition but he answered that at the Senior Bowl, emerging as a dominant force in practices. He checks all the physical boxes and looks primed to be a stalwart tackle at the NFL level, especially with an offense like Kansas City.
