NFL: 27 most likely non-QB future Hall of Famers
Davante Adams just might have punched his ticket into the Hall of Fame in 2020, after being named a First-Team All-Pro selection for the first time in his career.
Adams, who hasn’t just emerged as quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target but one of the most dangerous wide receivers in the NFL, caught 115 passes for 1,374 yards and a career-high 18 touchdowns this season.
His breakout 2020 campaign has been building for a long time for Adams, who has now made four consecutive Pro Bowls. While Adams and the Packers were boxed out of the Super Bowl by Brady and the Buccaneers, Adams emerged as arguably the premier wide receiver in the NFL this season.
If Adams can have one or two more seasons where he’s the best receiver in the game, it is going to be tough to keep him out of Canton.
Presuming he stays healthy, and Rodgers continues to play at an MVP caliber level for the next three seasons, it is entirely possible that Adams will retire with over 10,000 receiving yards which will certainly bolster his Hall of Fame candidacy.
