The Jaguars’ roster, largely bereft of talent, is about to get a dramatic upgrade this season, but as it currently stands Jacksonville’s best chance to become a Hall of Famer is second-year defensive end, Josh Allen.

Allen made the Pro Bowl as a rookie following a dominant campaign in which he produced 10.5 sacks and 23 quarterback hits, while being almost unblockable after the Jaguars selected him No. 7 overall in that April’s NFL Draft.

In 2020, however, Allen’s season was cut short when he suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 8, after being limited to just 2.5 sacks and 13 total tackles as an NFL sophomore.

Jacksonville currently doesn’t have many defensive players that keep offensive coordinators awake at night, but Allen’s explosive first season could set the foundation for him to put together a Hall of Fame-caliber career.
