Bobby Wagner hasn’t been the centerpiece of the Seahawks’ dominant defense that fueled a pair of Super Bowl runs, including a championship, he has for a stretch been the game’s premier linebacker.

Wagner just wrapped his ninth season, his fifth consecutive with more than 130 tackles, en route to his First-Team All-Pro selection and seventh Pro Bowl berth, at the age of 30.

Twice the NFL’s leading tackler, Wagner was named to the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team and shows no signs of slowing down. Pro Football Focus lists Wagner as the outlet’s No. 2 ranked linebacker in the NFL, with an 85.1 overall grade in 2020.

There’s a chance that Wagner has already had a strong enough career to one day become a Hall of Famer, but if he continues to produce 100-plus tackles and rank among the top three linebackers in the NFL for a couple more seasons, he’ll get the call five years after retirement.
