Ryan Kerrigan’s Hall of Fame candidacy is shaky at this juncture, but he has the best chance of any player on the Washington Football Team roster.

Kerrigan has never been Defensive Player of The Year, has never been an All-Pro, but he owns the franchise record with 95.5 sacks and has made four Pro Bowls in his first 10 seasons.

Washington has built a ferocious and talented defensive line of three first-round picks; Chase Young, Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, and Montez Sweat, which reduces Kerrigan to a rotational role but could also create opportunities if he moves to outside linebacker behind a line capable of generating consistent push.

Kerrigan has a long way to go, but if he can add a couple more double-digit sack seasons, he will certainly have a chance of going down as a Hall of Famer. As it stands, Kerrigan is Washington’s strongest current candidate.
