Super Bowl bold prediction No. 2: Chiefs, Buccaneers combine for 70+ points

With both Brady and Mahomes throwing for 400 yards, you might’ve guessed that I’m predicting that we’re going to have a high-scoring Super Bowl meeting between the Chiefs and Buccaneers. The over/under total for the game has hovered between 56 and 57.5 since the lines opened. Most people have said to bet the under. I’m not only saying take the over — I’m saying that they leave that number in the dust.

For as good as Tampa’s defense is, they are up against the best offense in modern football that we’ve seen and Andy Reid with two weeks to prepare. Moreover, the Chiefs aren’t going to have every answer for the Buccaneers. These teams are going to be trading haymakers from the jump and the result will be only the third Super Bowl in the history of the game to reach 70 points. However, I’m not sure they break the record of 75 points set back in 1995 by the 49ers and Chargers.

Super Bowl bold prediction No. 1: Kansas City Chiefs win by two touchdowns

Even in a shootout and even with both offenses producing, the Kansas City Chiefs dynasty is going to officially be born on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.

The simple fact of the matter is that the Chiefs have been near perfect in meaningful games over the past two years with Mahomes as the starting quarterback. While they may have been scared a couple of times, we’re legitimately looking at a situation where it’s everyone clearly chasing Kansas City — and that includes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady won’t go down without a fight; that’s not in his nature and he has plenty of weapons to work with. But when it comes down to it, they won’t have enough answers for the Chiefs’ litany of weapons and it’ll be a decisive victory to give Kansas City back-to-back Lombardi Trophies.
