2021 NFL Mock Draft, 3 Rounds: Chiefs bolster O-line after Super Bowl loss

Another team with unanswered questions under center is the Indianapolis Colts. They were 11-5 this past season and made it into the playoffs but they now find themselves looking for a new signal-caller. Former Los Angeles/San Diego Chargers star Philip Rivers spent one season with the Colts and while he was able to help them out in 2020, he decided to retire following his lone season in Indy.
They did have Jacoby Brissett last season and while he has plenty of experience, he’s now a free agent so they will have to figure out if that’s the route they want to go. Then again, they could decide to give 2020 third-round pick Jacob Eason a shot to start but he has yet to show what he can do in the NFL.
While they need to figure all that out, they’re not selecting high enough to fix the situation in the draft so instead, they get themselves another wide receiver in Rashod Bateman. The Minnesota product is a technician with his routes and will help whoever starts under center due to the fact that he knows how to win contested catches as well.
Bateman only got to play in five games this season but he still had 36 catches for 472 yards after going for 1,219 the prior season.
