30. Scouting Report. WR. LSU. player. Pick Analysis. Terrace Marshall, Jr.. 23

(Pick via Seattle Seahawks): With the No. 2 pick in this mock draft, the New York Jets added Justin Fields at quarterback and while the Ohio State star is a stud, he will need some playmakers around him. Now back on the clock with their first pick added in the Jamal Adams trade, the Jets land a playmaker for Fields as they take Terrace Marshall, Jr. out of LSU.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 200-pounds, Marshall has excellent size and simply knows how to get in the end zone. He’s scored 23 touchdowns in the past two seasons and in 2019, it was really impressive how often he was able to score. That year, he found himself on the same field as Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson but still managed 13 touchdowns for the Tigers.

New York currently doesn’t have too many big targets at wide receiver who can stretch the field. Jamison Crowder is their best weapon but he’s a slot guy and while Denzel Mims has a lot of upside as a player, he managed just 23 receptions for 357 yards as a rookie and is still looking for his first NFL touchdown.

A lot of the struggles were also on the coaching staff, so perhaps their change there will do as much good for the offense as the addition of Marshall does.
