Way-too-early 2021 NFL Power Rankings: Rams, Packers, Chiefs chasing Buccaneers

With Philip Rivers retiring, the Indianapolis Colts are headed back to the drawing board when it comes to trying to figure out their quarterback situation. Rivers, who spent 16 seasons with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers, joined the Colts for just one season and had plenty of success.
At 39-years of age, Rivers threw for 4,169 yards with a 24-to-11 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He then threw for 309 yards and two touchdowns in their loss to the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card Game — and while they suffered defeat, he was able to play well and they were within three points when the clock struck all zeros.
Now, they go into the offseason with only Jacob Eason under contract as not only is Rivers gone, but so too is Jacoby Brissett. While it’s likely they can get Brissett back, he was just 7-8 the last time he was the No. 1 guy. That means, they could be looking for an upgrade, even with Eason claiming he’s ready for the spotlight.
As it stands now, the Colts have a strong roster that just won 11 games but they have to get the quarterback figured out if they hope to have any chance at success in 2021.
