Way-too-early 2021 NFL Power Rankings: Rams, Packers, Chiefs chasing Buccaneers

Kliff Kingsbury came into the NFL in 2019 as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, and it was a bit of a shock when he was their hire. Other NCAA coaches have been given a chance at the NFL level but it’s not often one gets fired for underperforming at a school like Texas Tech and then lands their first gig in the pros.
If that didn’t give us enough to talk about, Kingsbury then helped the Cardinals make one of the more interesting moves in the 2019 NFL Draft as they took Kyler Murray first overall — just one season after the organization traded up for Josh Rosen.
It was a risky move but it has paid off. Murray has become a very talented quarterback whereas Rosen is on his third team since being traded by Arizona. Murray also led Arizona to an 8-8 record this past season, which was an improvement on their 5-10-1 record in his rookie campaign.
Kingsbury seems to have what it takes to be an NFL head coach and his team was close to making a run at the playoffs this past season. Adding DeAndre Hopkins was a major improvement for their offense and now if they can get better on defense — and more consistent on offense — they could be a team to watch this coming season.
