Way-too-early 2021 NFL Power Rankings: Rams, Packers, Chiefs chasing Buccaneers

The New York Giants had a rough campaign in 2020, which happened to be the first season with Joe Judge as their head coach. His hire drew some criticism since he was coming over from the New England Patriots after spending time as a special teams and wide receiver coach — and it wasn’t as if the Pats had the most impressive receiving corps.
From there, the criticism grew as he hired Jason Garrett to run the offense and Freddie Kitchens to coach tight ends. Both Garrett and Kitchens have head coaching experience, but Kitchens lasted only one disastrous season with the Cleveland Browns and the Giants saw how Garrett’s tenure ended in Dallas — and also saw that he wasn’t even trusted to run his own offense as the coach.
Making matters worse, they lost Saquon Barkley for the season in Week 2 which really hurt their offense. Daniel Jones also regressed some as a quarterback which is concerning heading into 2021. What’s most interesting though, is that this 6-10 franchise nearly made it to the playoffs. They were close to winning the horrific NFC East and lost their minds when the Eagles basically threw their Week 17 game against Washington to give the Football Team the title.
Of course, objective minds can say the best way to win a division is to pull of more than six wins. Right now, this team looks like they might have a hard time doing that this coming season.
