Super Bowl stats: 89 rush yards, 46 receiving yards, 1 touchdown

The nickname “Playoff Lenny” may have started as a joke but, make no mistake, since the postseason started, Leonard Fournette has been the engine driving the Buccaneers offense.

His 450 scrimmage yards in the postseason surpass his regular-season rushing total. Averaging over 5.5 yards per carry and 11 yards per reception, Fournette was a jack of all trades for Byron Leftwich and the Tampa offense.

Fournette ran physically through the trenches and angrily on the outside, getting loose in the third quarter for a 27-yard score to extend the Buccaneers lead to an insurmountable three possessions.

Fournette carried over the same level of physicality the Buccaneers defense established for the Buccaneer offense, at times running with defenders draped all over his back. Whereas Ronald Jones was the speed back, Fournette was the bruiser for Tampa Bay and established a tone that leads to touchdowns on four of five offensive possessions during a stretch of the game.
