3. Taylor Moton, Offensive Tackle

This past season, the Cowboys found themselves in an unfamiliar position. For years, they had an elite offensive line but with injuries to both La’el Collins and Tyron Smith — as well as the retirement of Travis Frederick — that wasn’t the case in 2020.

Now, Dallas has some tough decisions to make including whether or not Smith should be brought back. While he has been one of the best in the game, the injuries have been piling up and it’s highly likely they do elect to go with a replacement and in a perfect world, landing someone such as Taylor Moton would be fantastic for them.

PFF ranks Moton as the No. 12 free agent available this offseason and they rave about his consistency as well as his ability to fit into any scheme.

"“Moton has been the model of consistency over the last three years, grading “in the green” every year as a starter. He performs well in the parts of offensive line play that translate well moving forward, including ranking in the 90th percentile in PFF pass-blocking grade on true pass sets since 2018. As a run-blocker, Moton is scheme diverse. He can move defenders at the point of attack as well as making the necessary backside cutoffs in a zone-heavy scheme.” — PFF Team"

If all that wasn’t enough, Moton is also one of the more durable tackles in the game. He has appeared in all 16 games for the past four seasons and has not missed a start since taking the job over full-time in 2018.

The one argument against signing him could be that he plays on the right side, but the truth is, both he and La’el Collins are more than capable of playing on the left side meaning Dallas would just have to figure out who fits best there.
