32. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. South Carolina. 16. player. CB. Jaycee Horn

Back in 2011, the Arizona Cardinals used the No. 5 overall pick on LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson. That happened to be one of the more stacked draft classes in recent memory with players such as Peterson, Cam Newton, Julio Jones, A.J. Green, Tyron Smith, J.J. Watt, Robert Quinn, and Cameron Jordan all landing in the first round.

Really, it felt like a draft where any team with a major need could find a long-term starter and that’s what Arizona found in Peterson. He spent the past 10 seasons with the Cardinals and has 499 career tackles with 91 pass defenses and 28 interceptions.

Now, it appears Peterson might be done in Arizona as he’s set to hit free agency. With that being the case, the Cardinals look for a replacement here in Jaycee Horn. The son of former New Orleans Saints wideout Joe Horn, Jaycee proved to be a physical force for the Gamecocks.

He entered 2020 as a borderline day one pick but then put together his strongest season to date. Horn ended up leaving the team early to focus on the draft but it was understandable as he stepped away at the same time Will Muschamp was fired.

In Arizona, he will have no problem asserting himself as a starting corner and could very well be their No. 1 corner for the next 10 years just as Peterson was.
