Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers thanked his fiancee after winning his third career NFL MVP and actress Shailene Woodley has now confirmed the engagement.

Everything is coming up in favor of Aaron Rodgers these days. While leading the Green Bay Packers to the franchise’s second straight appearance in the NFC Championship Game this past season, the quarterback captured the third NFL MVP award of his career. But it was his acceptance speech that got the gossip world talking, specifically about his possible engagement to actress Shailene Woodley.

Rodgers thanked his “fiancee” for her support after being named the league MVP. And with reports within that week that the Packers quarterback and Big Little Lies star were dating, it seemed obvious who that was in reference to. Yet, there was still no confirmation from the couple themselves.

Now we have exactly that.

Woodley made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday and, during her interview with the host, she confirmed that she and Aaron Rodgers are indeed engaged:

Considering how long that these two have kept their relationship under wraps, it shouldn’t be all that surprising to hear Woodley say that the couple has been engaged “for a while.” However, the actress also noted that, since the couple began dating during the COVID-19 pandemic, she has yet to see her fiancee play.

The Packers probably want Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley to last forever

Even if Woodley hasn’t seen Aaron Rodgers play in-person yet, the Packers have to hope that they stay together considering how well the quarterback played with Woodley in his life.

All jokes aside, Rodgers is winning on almost every front right now. His personal life is clearly in great shape with the engagement to Woodley and his play on the field may have never been better. Rodgers captured the MVP honors after throwing for 4,299 yards with 48 touchdowns and only five interceptions while completing 70.7 percent of his passes.

Of course, as Rodgers and the Packers fell short of the Super Bowl yet again and the quarterback remains just a one-time champion, he surely hopes that his next triumph is hoisting the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in his career.
