1. JJ Watt, DL

Ever since JJ Watt was released by the Texans a few weeks ago he’s been connected with the Packers as a potential suitor. However, he won’t come cheap. It’s Watt’s first time being a free agent, so it’s understandable that the demand for his services is high.

According to Diana Russini of ESPN, Watt has received “several offers” and the project price range is between $15-16 million annually. Because of his high price tag, the Packers might be out of the running. But that doesn’t mean they’re completely down and out.

Might Watt take a hometown discount to play for his childhood favorite team? Probably not, but he’s always expressed heavy interest in one day playing for the Packers. If you’re general manager Brian Gutekunst, you take the chance on adding a first-ballot Hall of Famer, right?

In 10 seasons, Watt has recorded 101 sacks. Keep in mind, he had three injury-riddled seasons in there, as well. He’s been named AP Defensive Player of the Year three times, a Pro Bowler five times, and a first-team All-Pro five times.

His record speaks for itself, even at age 31. He may not be the player he once was at age 25, but needless to say, signing Watt would give the Packers a huge boost on defense.
