Buffalo Bill dream free agent target No. 1: Aaron Jones, RB

After four successful years with the Green Bay Packers, it’s crazy to think that Pro-Bowler Aaron Jones will be a free agent at the start of the 2021. But the Packers have yet to extend the running back and, after a year like 2020, it’s not stretch to say crazier things have happened.

If Green Bay does in fact let Joes walk, the Buffalo Bills might want to have his number on standby. In just four season, Jones has recorded 651 carries for 3364 rushing yards and 37 rushing touchdowns, in addition to 131 receptions for 1057 receiving yards and six receiving scores

In terms of versatility, production, and talent, Jones leads any other running back in this year’s free agency class by a wide margin, and it isn’t very close. Coming off back-to-back 1000 yard seasons, Jones doesn’t appear to be slowing down at 26 years old.

Despite the Buffalo Bill’s run heavy scheme, their success with a running back by committee approach has yet to see major success. Per ESPN, Buffalo ranked 20th in rushing offense in 2020, as the combination of Devin Singletary and rookie Zack Moss never found it’s footing.

While the defense would still need work, the addition of Jones to an already explosive Buffalo Bills offense would surely bring Buffalo back to the AFC Championship, if not further.
