Dak Prescott is clearly at the top of the 2021 NFL free agency quarterback class but it’s very much a mixed bag after him.

The star power in 2021 NFL free agency is truly jaw-dropping and, incidentally, couldn’t come at a more intriguing time. There are going to be some massive names available but, due to the effects of COVID-19 on league revenue, the salary cap is set to drop substantially. Subsequently, that will make financial decisons much more difficult.

What that ultimately means is that teams must be smart in how they operate in the 2021 NFL offseason. And that can especially apply to the quarterback position in free agency. We’ve seen a ton of movement and rumors already regarding quarterbacks but the 2021 NFL free agency class at the position is interesting.

The headliner of the group is Dak Prescott, without question. However, the notion of him actually hitting the open market is almost laughable. That’s where the real intrigue sets in as the group of available quarterbacks after him is a real hodgepodge of talent.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at Dak and the 10 best quarterbacks available in 2021 NFL free agency that teams could possibly sign this offseason.

2021 NFL free agency QB No. 10: Joe Flacco

In no world was Joe Flacco ever worth the deal that the Baltimore Ravens once gave him. Having said that, he’s still a viable veteran option and he proved as much this past season while a member of the New York Jets.

Logging four starts and playing in five games, Flacco threw for 864 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions for the Jets while completing 55.2 percent of his throws. Given the lack of talent in New York, he looked competent at the least.

Anyone bringing Flacco in to start is in a rough spot but he could be a high-end veteran backup for a team that is bringing along a young signal-caller.
