2021 NFL free agency QB No. 6: Mitchell Trubisky

Mitchell Trubisky has not come close to living up to the billing of being the No. 2 overall pick, something that Chicago Bears fans will be quick to remind you about. That doesn’t mean he’s completely devoid of value in the league at this point, though.

There are always going to be questions with Trubisky stemming from his decision-making. But if he went to a different situation with more stable coaching and infrastructure, the quarterback could be able to come in and show some of the development that was never truly on display with the Bears.

2021 NFL free agency QB No. 5: Andy Dalton

When the Cowboys signed Andy Dalton last offseason, there were rumbles about them having the best quarterback situation in the NFL. When Prescott went down, though, he was thrust into a bad situation and struggled immediately. However, it’s overlooked that he played quite well down the stretch last year.

There should be a solid market for Dalton this offseason. A team in need of a stable veteran starter could be interested in the former Bengals standout while he could also fill the high-end backup role once again. In any case, expect Dalton to be coveted in free agency.

2021 NFL free agency QB No. 4: Ryan Fitzpatrick

Over the past few years, it feels as if you could’ve written off Ryan Fitzpatrick at any given moment. Yet, the Harvard graduate hasn’t gone away and has actually revitalized his career over the past two years with the Dolphins. But now he’s set to depart and could be a nice asset on the free agency market.

At 38 years old, any team looking for a long-term option should not be interested in Fitzpatrick. However, if a franchise is in need of a stopgap player or someone to mentor a young quarterback, than they could do much worse than the veteran under center.
