NFL Draft 2021 Pro Comparisons: Terrace Marshall Jr. → Michael Thomas
During the last few years, LSU has become a bit of a wide receiver factory and in the 2021 NFL Draft, the school has two former pass-catchers that could potentially be selected in the first round.
Terrace Marshall Jr. is one of these two receivers thanks to some impressive production during his college career and the fact that he has tremendous potential to be one of the top pass-catchers at the pro level.
Standing at 6-foot-3, Marshall has the height to leap over an opposing defender to make the grab. In addition to this, he also displayed the ability to blow by his opponent after getting the ball in space.
Why he compares to Michael Thomas:
Looking back on it now, it’s crazy to think that Micahel Thomas wasn’t selected by the New Orleans Saints until the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Since then, all Thomas has done is develop into one of the best receivers in the league.
Before joining the Saints, Thomas spent his college career at Ohio State. Like Marshall, Thomas didn’t put up monster numbers at the college level, but he displayed plenty of potential. New Orleans gambled on that potential in 2016 and it’s safe to say it worked out for them.
In addition to putting up similar stats during their college careers, Marshall and Thomas also have a similar build as both are 6-foot-3 and weigh around 200 pounds. Their frames have certainly made it easier for their quarterbacks to find them in traffic.
