3. Los Angeles Chargers

The rest of the teams on here are those who have their quarterback (or are about to) but need a backup who can help mentor the new face of the franchise. For the Chargers, Justin Herbert is coming off of a season in which he won Offensive Rookie of the Year and there’s no doubt in their mind that he’ll be a star again in 2021.

Tyrod Taylor is hitting free agency though and that means the Bolts need a backup for their star quarterback. Daniel fits that mold.

Daniel hasn’t played for the Chargers yet in his lengthy career, but he played for the division-rival Chiefs from 2013-2015 and fun fact — The first two starts of Daniel’s career came against the Chargers in the final week of the 2013 and 2014 season. He went 1-1 in those games.

Herbert needs a backup, but considering he started all of the games he was slated to start (he wasn’t LA’s starter in the first week), durability hopefully isn’t an issue. This hopefully means Daniel can hang out on the sidelines and help Herbert in between plays.
