The Miami Dolphins are back on the clock, and this time, they add another offensive lineman. Last season, they picked up Austin Jackson from USC last season and Robert Hunt out of Louisiana-Lafayette. They each played tackle last season, but Hunt is an ideal fit inside, and adding Darrisaw allows that to happen.

Called one of the biggest “breakout stars” in the 2021 class by The NFL Draft Bible, Darrisaw was praised for his length, movement, and versatility.

"“Blessed with outstanding length and movement skills, Darrisaw saw a huge bump in his play in 2021, developing into a rock-solid first-round option for a tackle needy team. Darrisaw is an exceptionally smooth mover, showing great ability in the inside-outside zone heavy scheme the Hokies deployed.” — The NFL Draft Bible, SI.com"

Each of the two picks made by Miami in the first round of this mock is all about doing one thing — making life easier for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. As a rookie, Tua struggled at times and adding a wide receiver in the top-10 and an offensive tackle in the top-20 will help his progression.

Miami was able to win 10 games last season and just missed the postseason. Adding two players who are not only starters but impact starters in this opening round could push them over the top.
