WR. player. 23. 30. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LSU. Terrace Marshall, Jr.

(Pick via Seattle Seahawks): After taking Zach Wilson at No. 2, the New York Jets find themselves with a new No. 1quarterback for their first-year head coach Robert Saleh and his new offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur. Now, they find themselves back on the clock at No. 23 with the selection gained in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

This pick is used to add a No. 1 wideout for Wilson in Terrace Marshall, Jr. The LSU wideout was considered the ‘other guy’ in their offense back in 2019 when they won the NCAA Championship. That season, Joe Burrow was having the best season ever by a collegiate quarterback and his top receivers were Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson.

Chase went to the Dolphins in this mock and Jefferson was a first-round pick last season who landed with Minnesota. With Jefferson in the NFL, and Chase opting out due to COVID-19 concerns, Marshall was given the chance to flourish.

He made the most of the opportunity, racking up 731 yards and 10 touchdowns with 48 receptions. He’s capable of winning at all three levels and has secure hands. New York has a couple of solid options at wideout with Jamison Crowder and Denzel Mims and adding Marshall could be what turns them into a complete unit.
