2021 NFL Mock Draft: Zach Wilson rises to Jets at No. 2 in 3-round projection

Much of this offseason for the New Orleans Saints is surrounded by giant question marks. The two biggest are the status of Drew Brees and how in the world they will get under the cap. Currently, the Saints are an estimated $48 million over the limit — which is a giant improvement from the $105 million or so that was estimated when the season first ended.
Some restructuring surely helped, but that also kicks the can down the road. As for the quarterback, Brees was one of the players who did get restructured which means he’s going to be on the books until at least 2023, but there’s been no word that he will even play this coming season.
If Brees does hang up the cleats, Taysom Hill might have his time to shine or Jameis Winston could be brought back. Either way, they’ll likely stay competitive but will still need to make some big moves. One of those could be to move on from veteran Emmanuel Sanders who has a cap hit of $10 million.
Should they do this, adding Kadarius Toney would be a wise move to replace the production. Toney was used all over the field for Florida during his first three seasons before being placed at wide receiver full-time in 2020. He responded to the move by recording 984 yards and 10 touchdowns on 70 receptions.
His skill set fits the Saints offense perfectly and he will only get better the more time he spends at the position.
