48. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DT. Christian Barmore. 32. Alabama. player

Reports suggest that Tom Brady wants to build a super team this offseason as he looks for one more ring. Part of that ‘super team’ includes keeping the players they already have on their roster — and that’s understandable why.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers not only won this past Super Bowl, but they did so convincingly over one of the better teams we have seen in recent years, the Kansas City Chiefs. Players seem to be on board for this as well, with wide receiver Chris Godwin suggesting he would play for less to stay in Tampa and Mike Evans saying he would renegotiate to keep things intact.

That could move to the defensive side of the ball where they would surely like to bring Ndamukong Suh back for at least one more season despite the fact that he’s 34 (heck Brady says he has decades left, right).

As for the front office, they should be all-in on this plan but they still need to keep an eye on the future. That’s why they use the No. 32 pick in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft to land Alabama defensive tackle Christian Barmore.

After spending much of his career on the bench, Barmore broke out in 2020 and had eight sacks from his interior position, and dominated the NCAA College Football Playoffs. He would fit on the end in the Bucs three-man line much in the way Suh does with the ability to slide inside on third-downs, making him a very valuable piece of the puzzle for defensive coordinator Todd Bowles.
