Kenny Golladay free agency landing spot No. 6: Jacksonville Jaguars

Speaking of teams making a change at quarterback in the 2021 offseason, there is less mystery when it comes to the Jacksonville Jaguars and their plans at that position. Armed with the first-overall pick, it would be a stunner if Trevor Lawrence wasn’t heading to Duval County at the end of April. But the situation Lawrence is walking into could undoubtedly be improved.

Jacksonville has the most available cap space in the league this offseason, per Over the Cap, and should be able to be aggressive on the NFL free agency market. Golladay would be a great asset for them as they usher in their all-world quarterback prospect to the pro ranks. Pairing him with D.J. Chark would give Lawrence and the Jags a viable 1-2 punch they can rely on in the passing game.

Kenny Golladay free agency landing spot No. 5: New England Patriots

The New England Patriots provided a bit of a shock prior to the start of NFL free agency as they re-signed quarterback Cam Newton to a one-year deal on Friday. That doesn’t preclude them from adding another quarterback in free agency or the draft but it does mean they’re likely to at least try to run it back with Newton in 2021. To do so properly, though, they must get the former NFL MVP some help.

Suffice it to say that the Patriots might have the worst wide receiver room in the league right now. N’Keal Harry has been a first-round bust and Jakobi Meyers is the only player of consequence among the pass-catchers right now. They need a player like Kenny Golladay to come in and be the true top target to get this offense to some level of competency if they are to have any hopes of earning a playoff spot this season.
